Alex IvanovCEO and Co-founder
Alex founded FundCount in 1999 to fill a gap in the hedge fund market for an integrated portfolio and partnership accounting solution. Under his leadership, the firm has grown substantially and now serves family offices, fund administrators, private equity firms and hedge fund clients across five continents. As CEO, Alex oversees all strategic, product and operational aspects of FundCount in support of business growth.
Prior to FundCount, Alex was the founder of Trilistnic Technologies, a provider of off-shore custom software development for clients in the US and Europe.
Alex holds an MSc degree in computation machines, complexes and networks from Moscow State University of Electronic Technology. He has also studied Marketing Management at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology.
Michael Slemmer, CFAChief Operating Officer - Americas
As Chief Operating Officer – Americas, Mike is responsible for managing all aspects of FundCount’s business in the region, including sales, operations, product development, marketing and client services. Since joining the company in 2015, he has added key personnel while overseeing significant growth in revenue and client acquisition.
Prior to FundCount, Mike was Business Development Director for DST Global Solutions, which was subsequently acquired by SS&C. Prior to DST, he was a principal of The Collaborative, a consultancy serving institutional asset managers and wealth managers. Mike also held several roles at Thomson Financial Services (now ThomsonReuters) and was one of the early pioneers for Thomson's successful PORTIA portfolio management system.
Mike holds a BA from the University of Delaware, an MBA in finance from the University of Houston, and an executive degree from the Columbia University Graduate Business School. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Carole G. SpringerDirector of Client Services & Product
Carole is Director of Client Services & Product. She is responsible for leading FundCount’s client services, including streamlining operations of the client services team and enhancing FundCount’s offerings. Together with the FundCount management team, she coordinates product management efforts to further define and prioritize product direction.
Prior to joining FundCount, Carole worked as a consultant for 15 years advising technology vendors in the private equity, hedge fund and investment management markets. She also held various positions with Thomson Financial (now ThomsonReuters), including Product Director and one of the General Managers of the PORTIA business. She also led Thomson’s efforts in the electronic trading and order management arenas.
Carole has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has taken graduate-level business classes at Northeastern University toward an MBA.
John SullivanImplementation and Consulting Manager
As Implementation and Consulting Manager, John oversees all aspects of FundCount’s software implementation across the company’s diverse global client base. He has more than 14 years of fund accounting expertise, a strong technical background and experience with various accounting software systems.
John joined FundCount from investment management firm Wellington Management where he was a consultant and hedge fund controller responsible for the firm’s hedge fund financial statements and audits. Previously, he managed hedge fund accounting teams at BNY Mellon and Brown Brothers Harriman, two large fund administrators.
John graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Business.
Roger EberleManaging Director Europe & Middle East
As Managing Director Europe & Middle East, Roger is responsible for spearheading the growth of FundCount in both these regions.
Before joining FundCount in 2015, Roger was CEO of AFA Arcturus Fund Administrators Ltd, a fund administrator that serves hedge and private equity funds.
Roger has a Management Diploma from IMAKA in Switzerland and completed the Financial Analyst & Asset Manager program at AZEK. He is a Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) and a Registered Representative, Series 3 and 7.
Kirill IvanovManager, Sales and Support – Asia
Kirill joined FundCount in 2011. In his role as Manager, Sales and Support – Asia, he is responsible for sales in the region as well as for product support. Kirill works with clients to ensure FundCount software meets their entity organizational structure, chart of accounts format, reporting and other requirements.
Previously, Kirill was Co-founder and Senior Engineer at Aerofon, an IP telephony provider.
Kirill is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds an MSc degree in computer science from MIET National Research University of Electronic Technology where he also majored in English translation and interpretation.
Kate FedosovaClient Success Manager
Kate joined FundCount in 2015. In her role as Client Success Manager, Kate is responsible for monitoring inquiries from the customer support center, training clients and identifying opportunities to improve processes and overall client satisfaction.
Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering and Technology degree and a Master of Power Engineering. She is currently studying for a Master of Science in Accountancy at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.
James KuoBusiness Analyst
As Business Analyst, James works with clients and developers to design, manage and implement new functionality to enhance FundCount’s portfolio and partnership accounting platform. He has comprehensive knowledge and experience across many areas, including operations, collateral management, fund accounting and financial reporting.
James joined FundCount from SS&C GlobeOp where he managed a blended group of fund accounting and operations. He also held various positions with State Street Corporation, BNY Mellon, and PFPC.
James graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with an MBA in Finance.
Bill CaseyFamily Office Segment Manager/Relationship Manager
As Family Office Segment Manager/Relationship Manager, Bill serves as product expert for family office clients and oversees various product management tasks. He is responsible for understanding clients’ business needs and recommending training, customization or other options that help family office clients derive the maximum value from FundCount software.
Bill has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry working on technology products. Most recently, he was Reporting Solutions Manager at Fidelity Family Office Services.
Bill graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor of Science in Business.
